Monica has more than 25 years of experience in the institutional investment arena, creating real estate investment strategies and providing economic, demographic and market research in the execution of client investment goals. She most recently served as Executive Director of a global health non-profit, following the formation of a regional real estate consulting firm for family trusts. Prior to that she was Director of Research for Metzler North America (2006-2009), a German-owned investment bank for European corporate and private clients of parent Bankhaus Metzler of Frankfurt. At Metzler she was publisher/editor of quarterly client newsletters for a global audience. For 16 years she served as Vice President-Portfolio Management (1990-2006), with responsibility for coordinating marketing and client relationships for one of the nation’s largest institutional real estate investment advisors, Kennedy Associates Real Estate Counsel, Inc. Following graduate school, Monica served in the Cash Management Division of the Los Angeles County Office of the Treasurer’s Bond Debt Division, joining the newly-formed Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association as Supervising Portfolio Analyst. She served as Co-Chair, National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) Research Committee; is a member of the Washington, DC Chapter of Urban Land Institute (ULI), and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). She attended University of Washington Graduate School of Public Affairs and Seattle University.
